The film was also dubbed in Tamil as "Parthiban" and in Telugu as "Gods Own Gimmick". The Hindi dubbed version of this movie is titled as "Aayirathil Oruvan" (meaning: The Scapegoat). The selected screenplay writer, lyricist and dialogue translator for this movie was replaced after he compared his words with others' work and ultimately decided to opt out of the project. The soundtrack to Aayirathil Oruvan was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who also done the background music. The soundtrack was released on December 2006. "Pithamagan" song was taken from the album "Spyder Music". The satellite rights of the film were sold to Sun TV.
